Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter from Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her mother was at home as a mother. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. At a young stage of life, McCormick loved to sing and dance, and she would frequently perform puppet shows for youngsters in the area. When she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the world of entertainment. McCormick was offered her first major job when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for Wind It Up and It's Breaks by the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children to play the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared an unmarried family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the television show she almost lost their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams. The time was when she was just 16 years old and he was 19. This would have occurred, she says. However, the timing for our marriage was not right.
